Abandoning Hindu customs?

nick87,
I have the exact same experiences as you had. I also come from a brahmin family and now 100% atheist. I am never going back to those iron age rituals and prayers at any point in my life. I mean I still dont understand how can people believe in all these so blindly. May be its because people are afraid to use what they learn to question the norm in society.

"Life is but a momentary glimpse into the wonder of this astonishing universe, and it makes me sad to see so many people dreaming it away on spiritual fantasy." - Carl Sagan
