I watched parts of the ceremony. And I was thinking that we had to spend a whole lot of tax payers money and display this 'kundalini' irrationality in our culture to the other countries ! The salutations to the sun in the dark eh?

And somehow the 'guru shishya' idea and the reverence for the guru that was shown as an act at the opening ceremony never went down well with me.

True. And the sad thing is people forget easily and suddenly its all about what a great opening ceremony it was blah blah....
