Chakras and Kundalini at CWG Opening Ceremony!

Amid all the frantic self-congratulation among our compatriots and the diaspora after the grand opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games, perhaps we need to ask ourselves the showcasing of Chakras and Kundalini as if they were scientific exhibits and reported in the media as such is something which we can allow to go uncritiqued. Here's one of many news items:

I watched parts of the ceremony. And I was thinking that we had to spend a whole lot of tax payers money and display this 'kundalini' irrationality in our culture to the other countries ! The salutations to the sun in the dark eh? Biggrin
And somehow the 'guru shishya' idea and the reverence for the guru that was shown as an act at the opening ceremony never went down well with me.

They stole money from development projects and retirement funds, drove poor people out of the city and treated workers horribly all to promote this nonsense?
