Hey Guys,
I became an agnostic around 7 years ago and an atheist around 4.5 years ago. I am an NRI and have lived almost all my life in Dubai (except for a year in boarding school in Bangalore). I am originally from Mangalore and I come from a Catholic family. My parents are both religious but they are extremely open minded. The relationship I have with them is very different from the relationships my other desi friends have with their parents. I guess that is the main reason 4 out of 5 of us siblings are atheists/agnostics. The youngest one is getting there. Atm I study in the U.S. I should get my BBA in a year and then I will either head back to Dubai or to India. The only Gods I have in my life are politics and business. They usually come above everything else in my life.
You guys have done a great job with the website! It is good to know that people care about changing things back in India. I cannot stand the resurgence in right wing religious ideology, especially in my home state.
We are so small as a community, that there is no place to go but up from here ;).
Btw I was wondering if anyone could help me find an article on the website that I wanted to read but somehow lost. It concerns a letter the author of the blog post wrote to Indian scientists.
Thanks in advance
Kevin
