Irony works subtly at multiple levels. Here are two articles expounding the true nature of people who invoke Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam:

Link 1 tl;dr: In Panchatantra, the idea of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is used by those animals who are villainous in nature and want to lure other animals into their trap by sounding considerate.

Link 2 tl;dr: Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is invoked by a fool to bring back a lion to life, which promptly devours him.

Yet more "thoughts" from B.M. Hegde -

Modern medicine has forgotten the essence of illness care
Health is a state where each human body cell is in sync with other cells. Illness is when this communication breaks down.

In this article he cites some studies too, it would be great if someone knowledgeable about medicine and medical skepticism could check them out...

The links to the references which Hegde quotes in his oped don't seem to be working at all. Shouldn't the people at "hindu" have crosschecked ?
If a pharma company can use sugar filled placebos to demonstrate supra maximal efficacy of its anti diabetic drug then what should a pharma company use as placebo to demonstrate supra maximal anti cancer response of a potential anti cancer candidate ??

Wow, LMC I just realised why you posted that second article - it's from November 2010?! So Hegde has recycled 1-year old material - same title, some of the same sentences. Not at all surprising.
