"There are no homosexuals in AMU"
#1
The vice chancellor or Aligarh Muslim University, in an interview to the Tehelka magazine, said "there are no homosexuals here", when asked why there is homophobia in his university. He was asked why his uni isn't a liberal and inclusive place.

When asked what the university's stand on homosexuality is, he retorted, "would you accept if someone in your family were a homosexual?"

Seriously, who made this man a vice chancellor? Such a bigoted, ignorant man.

He has even commissioned am intelligenced unit in his uni, to spy and keep tabs on his students and teachers. The uni is now flooded with cameras. It's become like a police state.

So, the University is like his family then. Would he do the same for a University student that he does to for his own family? Another moral police who thinks he can dictate other people's private lives.

Is that even legal? If not, somebody should sue the hell out of the University.

I do not know if this intelligence wing is legal. But it is openly running and is not some sort of conspiracy claim. It has been the subject to much media scrutiny. But they claim it's necessary for security.

In one media report, a student claimed that he was up for a "V for Vendetta" style action against the intelligence unit and cameras.
